Had my 1st plasma donation fail this week. They got the needle in slightly wrong with the return of the red blood cells not working after the 4th cycle and had to abort around halfway through. As it was around 350ml they can still use it (needs to be >100ml) but well short of the usual 876ml. Bugger as I am generally 100% good to go for a hard run after 48 hrs. Now I am having to take it easy for a week. They told me its not very common but made me think that you do need experienced staff to run these donations sites.
Won't stop me going back as I am repaying a large recipient debt from 30 years ago and am a rare Anti-D donor.
