csl refresher course

Some discussion on another thread re CSL collaboration, warrants a brief.

The collaboration is now approaching 2 years - fromJune 2009 anny.

CSL were to initially assess their protein based formulations in a mouse model.

If successful in mouse model the next stages were:
1.optimize the effect of TPM formualtion
2.testing the effect in higher order animals

If successful and CSL persue these formulations

POH gets an undisclosed option
milestone payments
royalty payments

Now I'm no scientist but I would expect that nearing 2 years would mean things have progressed well, as I don't think CSL would waste this much time if things weren't progressing.

Vaccines and plasma protein biotherapies are major lines of CSL.

Our discussions in the past have centred around the possiblity of providing vaccines via patches which in essence would be life changing particulalry in the 3rd world. No needles, no refrigeration, mass produced patches.
We talk about our oxycodene as our holy grail, well this could dwarf it.
Nothing in this game is certain, but as long as the game is going we have a chance of winning it.
CSL will take there time, cross the t's, dot the i's and then do it again.

Every bio company, even the biggies, are looking for the next edge to keep them ahead of the pack.
