I think you'll find that the DNA test described is for active not latent tb.
As of this time there are no other products that have passed the testing procedures and gained the necessary statutory approvals for the detection of latent tb.
CST with the US CDC is currently working on the revised guidelines for use of Quantiferon in tb detection in the US. These guidelines are expected to be released later this year and it is expected that they will form the basis for the procedures for the various key institutions.
