LOL! Very droll about the information overload!!
I mentioned all the open or "tenuously held" blocks the other day. There is a coastal one in the north bordering Mauritania, and yes FAR/CNOOC would certainly be a better team for the Gambia to go with long-term than either AP or Timmis. As far as I can work out Senegal Offshore Sud is open as well .. that's the southern most coastal lease south of Djiffere with The Gambia blocks in between.
We mustn't forget that even though this agreement covers just Senegal and The gambia there's nothing to say that FAR and CNOOC or another partner may not target blocks in the Jointarea to the south and offshore Mauritania and GB ... all part of the basin for which we have "valuable knowledge".
