Hey mate just my loose speak for a "falling wedge" which is considered a bullish reversal pattern and can often lead to a breakout above the upper trendline as the SP tightens in its range. The lower trendline becoming more horizontal in finding support as the selling volume usually dries up at its low point. Good examples would be NVA and LTR in recent weeks on say the 2hr charts where the uptrend continued.
