I know from experience that the faked-chinese inspired nickel crash played merry hell with strategies for options conversion ... Without that intervention many of us option holders would have cycled out of ops into ords. I had started letting a few go on the way up having bought extra ords. That strategy doesn't work when price is falling ;-/. Still, happy with where I ended up .... left a bit on the table, but basically set to go for the next leg up.
