I'll put this very simply.

Katumbus, let's assume someone goes to work. Would you suggest that person earned an income if after all the associated costs involved such as travel, clothes, education development needed during the year etc. that person ended up out of pocket each year?

The only profit that interests me is a profit that means actual cash in hand increases. If millions of dollars of development costs each year means a company like CTO is significantly out of pocket each year, then as far as I am concerned when I look at that company for investmnent purposes I regard that company as operating at a loss each year.

I'm not interested in the nuances of accounting that can turn real life losses of cash into profits.
