The pit ponies would be working hard at the moment trying to get the final few oz's out for the end of the quarter, who knows they may even break the record for a quarter, the record for rock removed not gold produce!!
The team at CTO would probably make more money setting up scrap gold buying kiosks around a few major shopping centres where they would be buying scrap gold jewelery at about 50% of the spot gold price, which I found the competitors are currently paying. Great return for very low overheads, certainly beats moving 23,000 tonnes of rock to produce 2,500ozs.
