If Santos or anybody else for that matter went on the market this week to buy 60,000,000 shares in CTP they would cause the share price to rocket to several dollars and they would still have to keep bidding the shares up to get that many shares which would take some time.

The easy way is to buy the options just a month out from expiring and offer up to 5c or more for them to make sure they get the lot before expiring worthless.

Then the big holder of options just exercises them for a firm price of 80c and not an average price of $2-$3 a share if they went on the market to buy.

I think you already knew that Stockrocket but just in case you didn't, you better start preparing for April! !
