I'm not sure this is statistically provable, but it always seems that when the CTP chart is positive, the comments slow down significantly, and the ones that remain get even more hostile. I wonder if it's that we've all been battling for so many years and developed a battler mentality that the 'war' will continue without end, so we can't be happy?
I've had a goal for many years that if/when CTP hits my target (which was once $1, i have no clue what the goal is now) that i would use it as an excuse to finally visit the red centre, visit Ayers Rock, then drive out and look upon a CTP site (it was probably Surprise when i first thought this) and have a quiet drink to soak it in.
I'm thinking it would be good for all if everyone did it. I doubt anyone would be bitchy or aggressive in person and we'd all finally just smile, cheers and say it was all worth it.
Hope it comes in 2018/9! GLTA.
ps it'd probably get boring very quickly, so we could start a new debate about politics or sport
