This is where LD needs to get on the front foot to make this a political issue leading into the NT elections this August.
CTP need to garnish support from the CLP to have an open tender process on the estimated $1bn 9 year contract, awarded without tender to a project that is unproven, undeveloped and unapproved. The lack of transparency in the 'commercial-in-confidence' agreement should be highlighted as potential corrupt conduct within the NT government.
This would be a game changing agreement for CTP - we need to fight tooth and nail on the shambles this NT government has created by taking this approach to their long term energy security.
