CTP were flatlining financially until CFO ( now CEO ) persuaded BOARD to buy Magellan's assets. Macquarie loan made buy possible. Income stream, subsequent deals, loan repayment have got CTP to smart financial and prospects position it is in now. Impressively small shareholder equity has been maintained by systematic avoidance of Capital Raisings. CTP's % ownership of prospects has been reduced in process of surviving it and prospects developments as a viable entity. Smart strategic thinking has been foundation of current position.
All speculation about future developments has been on basis of CTP being taken-over. Maybe smart thinking bringing company forward to current attractive situation could be leveraged to create a different outcome ? Further applying past smart thinking CTP could begin to reclaim ownership of fields ? Intriguing.
