Santos have fracked for 45 years, done 900 wells, had no negative frack impacts, and done it safely. N.T. Beetaloo will involve thousands of fracked wells over the life of the field. Successful field development of Beetaloo will require new pipeline for it alone. Other N.T. Basins are prospective for shale gas - success in those would add further to need for new pipeline. CTP have numerous prospects uninvestigated now, some with several conventional and shale gas horizons. Amadeus Basin is most prospective basin based on knowledge from previous seismic, drilling, and developments. Further CTP success in Amadeus would require increased capacity in currently undersized APA and Jemena pipelines for it alone. Attacks against fracking are at sustained fever pitch in UK including legal challenges, lying, factual misleading information spread on social media, street action like " lorry surfing " / " slow walking " lorries / chaining self to unmovable objects in site vehicle access / camping at sites / arrests / convictions / dismissals / protests outside supply chain companies. companies withdrawing from delivering supplies / lobbying company
lenders..etc., Organisation against fracking in N.T. was done in anticipation of the scientific enquiry and recent requests for donations to finance renewed actions circulated through social media. Right now the eco-terrorist Adani " convoy " is progressing along east coast with publicity and it is likely these related actions will continue and be copied in renewed anti-frac actions. CTP is small company, with small resources, physically located and operating in remote / desert locations. CTP income is much bigger currently, it will be less so when tax losses exhaust, so frack exploration presents new financial / social / physical / legal challenges. CTP probably has enough unexplored prospects to require financing for decade with fracking prominent in the work. How will this little, physically isolated, remote company deal with researched, intelligent, analytic, driven, energetic physical protesters ?
