I do not believe there is unmanageable risks with fracking otherwise i would not be invested in companies involved in it and would be doing something to stop it. I believe you are genuinely concerned and posting in good faith. Your comments are ambiguous - 1. " ... there should be no plan ...", 2. ".. not one gas or oil well on the planet that doesn't leak laterally at some point in its life ...", 3 " .... not suggesting it can't be done or should not be done ...".

Do you have a reputable reference for " 2 " ?

" 1 " is unacceptable to everyone i know including oil and gas industry professionals.

" Gasland " is not a reputable source and has been convincingly discredited.

There have been many scientific enquiries / reviews of these matters concluding fracking is done safely with appropriate laws / regulations / enforcement. There are many overseas examinations including UK Royal Society and the Royal Academy of Engineering report.
