Guy making those statements left the fracking company he worked for in dispute. OPEC and Russian overproduction collapsed oil market with intention of destroying USA fracked oil production. Exploration companies went broke. OPEC and Russian attack on USA companies put smaller frackers in financial losses. Problem is not cost of fracking it is oligopolistic behaviour of OPEC and Russians. USA is now energy independent, has amazingly cheap natural gas, is about to be huge LNG exporter. Social media run by climate change / extinction emergency / anti-frac warriors / combatants / anti-west insurgents are driving this. Do you know any of them yourself - if so introduce them to their own very personal extinction emergency - PLEASE !
