Before Upper House draft laws being reworked after legal challenge previously. Consequences being considered fines to AU$10000, 18 months jail first offence, 4 years second offence. Earlier organisation against law change involved Tasmania Legal Centres, correspondence to UNHCR co-signed by Wilderness Society, Markets for Change, Bob Brown Foundation. When laws are passed they will provide template for all States to frame " protestor " contain and control legislation.
