"Mosman Oil and Gas has advised that SRK Consulting (Australia) has finalised a report into the prospective resources contained in EP 145 in the Northern Territory Amadeus Basin, highlighting “the potential for both conventional oil and gas resources in proven reservoirs within the West Walker Anticline and unconventional gas resources in the Horn Valley Siltstone”.

"Mosman advised that SRK has calculated P50 conventional recoverable gas of 12.44 Bcf and P50 unconventional recoverable gas of 1,456 Bcf.

“We are pleased with the prospective resource quantification from the SRK report that highlights the significant gas potential in our Amadeus permits, which are located adjacent to existing producing oil and gas fields,” John W Barr, Mosman Executive Chairman, commented.

“Mosman believes the Amadeus Basin could one day be a potentially important strategic source of gas production for the east coast of Australia and this report will greatly assist us in prioritising future exploration activity."

My observations:

12 PJ is the sort of figure that is hardly surprising for that terrain. Note the location of EP 145 as per the map. It is half way between PV and Mereenie but a little south of a direct line between those 2 points. The cheerful part is that CTP encircles EP 145. That circle is in the parts of CTP's tenements that Santos is supposed to explore. So nothing is likely to happen for a while but really CTP is not in a hurry. As long as we do not forfeit the tenure for inactivity.
