Avoid being moderated by : use facts, logic, be rational, articulate your point of view, persuade,be courteous, allow others to do the same. Block communication and engagement by : refuse to acknowledge and deal with facts, dismiss, judge, don't listen, listen only to those who agree with you,assume others are corrupt, dishonest, stupid. I like to dialogue with others because i may : learn something new, may develop a better understanding, may develop a stronger understanding and analysis, may discover others who have a shared purpose and may be able to co-operate with them and be more effective. I don't always understand what people with technical knowledge are saying and others don't always understand what i am saying immediately. It takes discussion,clarification,and open communication to achieve things. It can be slow,frustrating,and may not create the result you want. So what - you grow and develop in the process, learn, move on and engage with new situations and people.
