I believe anyone who has done their own research will agree that CTP has many "irons in the fire" and that success in any one area could well see the CTP sp rise very quickly.
If so, at the current CTPOA option price, it probably makes sense to hold them for a potential gain/break-even, given that the paper loss might be high if a holder sold out. Also, this "scare mongering" could lead some to sell and miss out on that potential windfall.
