Hi longreach. I did try explaining this to my husband before I posted and he looked at me like I had two heads (again). He did however say that the theory to him is similar to the theory of a racing and sports bookmaker whos whole purpose is to make book. Whatever that means if it helps ! I think what you monitor though – not that you need my opinion, is ideal for some indication of future fundamental sentiment. Much like TA and RSI, BB, MACD and other indicators though my TA for example is different for each stock. Horses for courses some would say. In fact it was only in recent times that our very own @ Slick pointed me in the direction of BB which I then of course (by nature) respectfully dismembered and custom recoded to suit my own purpose and find very insightful. To me each stock has its own intricacies. As an addition to your repertoire you may also find that the daily reported as short sold figures can also provide some interesting additional indications of potential buy and sell imbalances and sometimes a price point equilibrium even if just for the fun of observation. As you probably noted I love this stuff. My head is full of such scatter. Happy to talk about this all day as its a subject that I believe more should better understand.
