Hi Ma. I will try here. I use TA to trade. I am not an investor. I am not a speculator. I trade. For me TA is not intended to predict but rather assess the market in the here and now and help manage risk position sizing. So were there signs of the current state? Statistically Yes and I think you will find this in the expressions of many here and the caution displayed in many posts particularly leading into Christmas and early Q1. Unlike the racing and sporting like form guides published by the many broking houses with their buy and sell rankings a TA Technician however deals in fluid probabilities not the assumption of Laplace absolutes.
