the desire to capitalise on the current market, seems like he's looking to capitalise on depressed valuation of other companies to make cu6 "whole". Like you said, manufacturing side for clarity has always been weak.
This will come at a cost to capital which will accelerate the need for further funding. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, as it seems with radiopharma, BP are looking at companies with manufacturing capabilities as well.
