The list of companies and rules/timing decisions of inclusion and exclusion of the asx200 and 300 can be found on the ASX website. I’m no expert but I believe the market is notified on the first Friday of the month each quarter(March, June, Sept Dec) for the ASX 200 and every six months(March,September)for the asx300, regarding who is in and who is out of the listings. But, the actual formal delisting/inclusion occurs two weeks later on the 3rd Friday of the month. This is important to know because some funds that automatically follow the index will buy or dump on our shortly after the 3rd Friday. But given the increasing sophistication of algo trading and AI technology I wouldn’t be surprised if the bots understand exactly what’s going to happen ahead of time and position accordingly.
There is no specific market cap just whoever is in the top 200/ 300 at the time that satisfies the rules.
Last time I checked CU6 was near the bottom of the asx300 in terms of market cap.
