I see various groups of short players and hence various potential exit plans. Market makers and index front runners for sure. Maybe a few with their eye on the potential for a CR as prudence would suggest that due diligence would begin long before any cash runway is exhausted. With a rise in monies that flow in an out of ETF and other such funds how about arbitrageurs though with their ability to place an opposing cross matching and cross jurisdictional trade at arm’s length to ASIC and the shorted stock itself ?

If we consider that in theory the more a stock is shorted the more difficult and riskier it should also becomes to short that same stock the question of why short CU6 still remains. No matter who though for me plenty of headwinds to consider not least because economic rules dictate that full effect of (US) legislated structural change will be slow filter through which opens the door of discussion about whether as a collective the market has taken on a mean reversion position of complacency. Which for me is why 7th April is pivotal in my trading assessments. I do however remain CU6 bullish on the science but for the market as we head into Q3 and Q4 not so much if US bond yield (continue to) rise and stock dividend yields fall. For the week ahead though I am not seeing the same Ouch ! slick eloquently described come Monday with the stochastic oscillator below showing signs that opportunity perhaps exists to wait and watch and analyze in preparation for directional guidance.
