thats a reasonable generalisation but not always the case. I have been in a stock where money was returned to shareholders (for valid reasons) after a cap raise via a buyback. It didnt manipulate the stock price and built trust and integrity. The big guys and their bots manipulate the share price. Just watch the order book bouncing and look at the daily trade lines. Very little investing. Its disappointing that we have to tolerate it.
