Completely agree, I highly doubt anyone with even a fragment of a brain in their head would try and short this. Although it’s worth keeping in mind that the strategy of shorting is far closer to gambling than it is to investing. Shorters face terrible odds, with unlimited risk and limited potential upside (max 100%). That is worsened by high fees and full tax rates. They are really glorified gamblers, none of the best performing investors use the strategy, and on average shorters lost several hundred billion dollars last year. If they do have a go here, they’ll only add buying volume when they’re forced to exit at significantly higher prices due to a margin call. Whether they do or don’t short, it shouldn’t really be a concern to anyone given the quality of the company we hold and the high number of near term catalysts (eg data readouts, high probability of a TO etc).
