Telix Acquisition of ImaginAb assets: Is there something omninous?
The Telix announcement (on the acquisition of ImaginAb assets) has an ominous sounding statement that I paid little attention to earlier:
"Following closing of its transaction with Telix Pharmaceuticals, ImaginAb, Inc. will be focused on developing its lead imaging candidate, CD8 ImmunoPET, which is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials and has been licensed by numerous pharmaceutical and biotech companies for use in imaging within immunotherapy clinical trials, primarily in oncology...."!
I find the specific mention, by Telix, of what ImaginAb WILL BE FOCUSSED ON going forward, quite curious!
If I'm reading this correctly, it seems to imply that what remains of ImaginAb will now be on a narrowed scope: they may well be prevented from doing development work with other partners outside of the CD8 ImmunoPET gang! From what I can find, Clarity is not part of that CD8 bunch!
This, together with some bits from Telix's presentation, all drive me to a new view that, any work that ImaginAb were doing with Clarity (the collaboration), now becomes a Telix and Clarity potential collaboration: if the partners desire and can reach agreement!
I say this also because the 2 most advanced programmes that Telix have highlighted and seem excited about, already have incumbents: Not just anyone, but Big Pharma! Amgen, Novartis, and Roche are in DLL3-targeting (including an FDA approved product for Amgen), and Pfizer is in Integrin αvβ6 (Phase 3). What if, the real target is the undisclosed stuff, which in my head says: Clarity!
But then, the payment terms require progress and achievement of milestones! The upfront payment is not a lot, and some of the payment will be in the form of Telix shares! ImaginAb have a job to do.
Depending on where you stand on the TLX versus Cu6 divide, this could mean any of many possibilities, including!
Is Telix trying to stifle Clarity? Chris has implied this before (when talking about the Clarity's supply chain that Telix bought)!
Is Telix drawing Clarity to the table? What if he already has some Clarity shares!
My desire is for Clarity to push and get its diagnostics to market: starting with Cu64-Sar-bisPSMA, and then Cu64-SARTATE and Cu64-BOMBESIN later!
