Hey Kit,

Others with a learned background will know definitively as to naturally fractured limestone carbonate rsservoirs.

They aren't as straight up and down as other reservoirs & indeed show a level of complexity that takes a mathematician to understand when talking dual porosity / permeability scenarios.

It aint as simple as it looks & I dare say backer understands but is nor likely to spell out due to his riddler style of writing

MAY are doing exceptkinally well operationally..

Core samples will give you further data to plug into the model.

The reason they can extrapolate from 100 to 600m effective pay zone is fracture based which gives a glimpse into the nature of dual porosity reservoirs.

Oil resides both in the lattice & also in the fracture zones..

Differing porosity & permeability in diff zones mean a one test approach poss isn't the best as you run the risk of leaving oil on the table "so to speak" when it comes to recoveries.

Literature speaks of a number of tests required to determine the true flow characteristics hence why I suspect the tested Unit 1B twice..

The second a controlled scenario whereby flow was deliberately choked over a different zone range.

The first test is what flows out easily, the second not having as easy a pathway through the less permeable latice requires a different method..

Add them together and you start to get a feel for the true nature of a naturally fractured reservoir..
