Unit 3 in Alameda 2 was by no means a dud. It will actually perform quite well on a pump (Errol's words). The revised subsurface interpretation sees the bottom hole location in A2 separated by a couple of faults to the Alameda 1/3. A1 saw high pressures in unit 3, a flare and oil over the shakers in that location. Discussions were obviously had to re-test this for this reason. The DST-1 will be in a 12" open hole, compared to a 6" slotted liner in A2. Couple this with higher pressure and apparently lighter oil, this may flow unassisted to surface and some more ripe low hanging fruit for the picking. All eyes on next week.
