I think you are missing the point.
It is not simply about "a few impatient people here". The moment you tell yourself that, you have conceded that AP does not have to keep shareholders properly informed. Corporate communications are an essential part of good corporate governance. Fail that, and you are doomed. You can have the best company in the world, with the best ideas and best people; but if you communicate badly then investors will abandon you en-masse. If AP is serious about delivering "long term value to shareholders" (standard cliche) he needs to communicate better. Simple as that.
