So Melbana hinted in today’s Ann that the preferred rig contractor is a local entity , GWDC are affiliated as a Cuban local entity.. Comercial Cupet S.A/ Greatwall Drilling Company Ltd,,Cuba
Great Wall 122 Drilling rig....pictured, however I believe GWDC has at least 6 units in Cuba all capable of the drilling required in block 9. GWDC via their local entity will import everything required to drill a turnkey well from China, wellheads OCTG , wireline, logging, cement unit, etc.... absolutely no embargo or importation issues..
IMO we are very very close to key news regarding the long and drawn out pathway to actual drilling on block 9.
