gjcl,
In an article of the 7th July in the Northwest Star, Logistics Manager for CuDeco John Green outlined how getting projects under way in Queensland was far more time delayed than in similar projects in Western Australia and called for projects to be handled as they are done by the West Australian Government so that case study for each project is handled by a specifically appointed officer.
That call was taken up by the Queensland Government on the 11th July and there will now be one case manager for development projects identified as having significant economic benefit with the single point of contact to reduce turnaround times, cut red tape and lead to faster deployment of all available government mechanisms.
Well done John Green to get such a prompt acceptance of your proposal. Such could have affected and earlier commencement of mining for CuDeco if it had been in place earlier. It will however be of benefit for future mining activities by CuDeco and be of assistance to other up and coming miners.
