Hi Hoots,

I got a buy signal when the chart went from pink to green. Those signals are derived from a lot of data besides the OHLC - volume that is mostly used in TA.

The confirmation comes from another set of data that is unrelated to the greeny/pinkie data. So if the second lot of data is in an uptrend then that will confirm the buy order.

A simple analogy would be that in normal TA you get a buy signal from a break of a trend line.

That Buy Signal would then be confirmed from some other data such as the XJO or Materials Index also being in an uptrend.

It doesn't work perfectly for all stocks but I can see from their history thay they probably wouldn't work so I can just ignore them. But it certainly does a good job with CDU.
