25-fold increase can be from 0 and still is promising. With mud overbalance drilling from the overpressured shales into porous formation any gas that is near the hole can be pushed out back into the formation. So I still stand by my statement. Some of the biggest discoveries were missed because of the mud overbalance and only disocvered later during logging.
About DST only if you are in Queensland or have no money in the pocket you do it, unless you are still in the 60-ties.
