Cruel? Shooting them is a quick death. Far more cruel to let them starve.
You know what's worse than shooting feral camels? Letting them live. They blockade waterholes and kill any other animal that tries to drink. They kill native animals. They even kick cattle to death. F*@#$ the camels. 10,000 isn't enough.
