Camels do not simply eat grass leaves, they pull the tufts out of the ground - roots and all - and destroy lands causing widespread erosion. Farmers are using old tyres in areas to try regulate surface water flow back to historical channels where it is captured and irrigates our agricultural lands. Camels are destroying our ecosystem and have the ability , only partly due to their numbers, to destroy food production in Australia. Neutered camels still eat.
