It has been coming for long time apparently over 10 years costing US$ 1B+ for CSL and its original discover UniQure. It is very interesting to put together numbers for future growth for CSL as there are so many factors to consider for next 20yrs or so. For example one time treatment can mean 2 yrs to any number of yrs. Stage 3 trial was only for 2 yrs, therefore it will be monitored for long time to come. There are many more variables like the extent of deficiency for each patient etc. I think over period of time it will cannibalise CSL and others current treatment too. Another reason why it is costed high apparently due to current non genetic treatment can cost anywhere around 15 to 20 Million for bad patients over 20 years, whereas this could be few infusions. So it is going to be cheap for healthcare providers in the long run. I like this part of the explanation from what I have researched.
