re:slater and gordon walk away! From today's West Australian Newspaper ---

CONGO MASSACRE PROMPTS CALL FOR ANVIL PROBE.

"A Melbourne lawyer ---- WILL ASK ---- Australian Federal Police this week ---- TO INVESTIGATE WHETHER --- an Austalian mining company --- HAD A ROLE ----- in the massacre of at least 100 people."

    (My emphasis)

And the Australian Feds will say? ---------

----- "Get stuffed - we have better things to do.
We are not interested in pursuing an Australian company for something alleged to have happened in another country - a matter which would be extraordinary complicated and expensive to pursue - based on tenuous grounds - with no likelihood of a successful prosecution."

Am still inclined to believe there is a connection between these matters and the Chemaf challenge.
Perhaps an effort to put Anvil in a bad light prior to court procedings?

Again there may be the possibility that by undermining and attacking Anvil the groundwork will have been done for a take-over offer.

Again there may be an effort to bring down Anvil share price to allow cheap accumulation of the shares.
The signs are growing that eager institution/s are moving in.
The timing is impecible in this regard - to lower share price that is.
Then again the timing is impecable for the other purposes.

The "ambush" does however appear too strong, too well planned and too well funded to be considered as an effort to manipulate the market.

    Whatever!

The signs are that now is a "bottom picking" time to buy more Anvil.

The Slater and Gordon accusation can be disregarded as a serious concern to Anvil's operation and bottom line.
The damage lies in creating fear and avoidance with consequent undervaluation of share price.

The Chemaf action would have greater consequences if successful.
Someone more clever than I might be able to suggest such ramifications.

Anvil appears to be well set to block the Chemaf action.
However we are in the Congo.

Remember your guess is as good ----.

    Cheers,
