But JHC, the smart move has been to sit on the sidelines, what's the point of buying into or holding into a dropping trend? I said weeks ago that I was out and to be wary because of the sell in May mentality that hits stocks every year, I have learnt from past experience to get out before end of April or earlier if possible.

And true to form look whats happened with the shareprice.

I know you like your averaging down strategy and that's fine and if it works for you all well and good. Trouble is, it's a very very risky strategy and if you are in the market risk management is paramount. The problem with it is that eventually you come up against a stock that doesn't bounce back and you lose all your money. Just ask HIH holders and many others where the stocks are languishing and have languished at very low levels for years. True as you say you can sell some on the small upticks, but most people don't. Imo it's bad advice for new players coming into the market.

    Cheers
