You can't use EMA or SMA as a indication on a sideways moving chart, it will always give the indication to buy high and sell low, EMA or SMA are used very well only in trending charts, to give a indication of swing heighs and swing lows, because EMA is used from past price action depending on which day term you use it is mainly used for confirmation of a trend start.
Not saying I'm a chart guru but I'm just learning, I used to trade with fundamentals only but then you see stocks getting hammered for no reason or announcements that are excellent and price goes down, it's bad put there haha
