In my opinion Brazil is one of the best places to be exploring, mining and processing minerals at the moment. Low labour costs are just the cream on the cake. As mentioned in a previous post, in regards to Cobalt, one of the key inputs is electricity. Australia has one large hydro electricity project, Brazil has over 2,000 ( source ABC ) providing power at less than half the cost in Australia. As far as I know the mine is run on generators at the moment , even after the savings from using the hammer mills, the diesel costs will be considerable. When, if, they can get connected to the mains, the AISC will take another dip.
