I am inclined to agree with impatient with gold. You are fairly far off with "fair value"
Firstly my shares are not for sale at $1.38 and thus KCN can not sell for $1.38 per share thus disproving your hypothesis. If however there was 1 owner and he or she sold it all for $1.38 per share then you would be correct.
Sometime accountants struggle to think outside the box, like an entrepreneur perhaps. Must get 100% for accounting. Must not speed. Must have a formulaic preconceived notion of dividend policy despite various consistently moving variables...
Miningnut has said, no buy back will March 2025. Ouch. I think there will be one in 2024.
