yes the Offer seems scheduled to close 11 March 2009. I think you can buy the shares until the offer closes. Once the Offer closes they will apply to compulsorily acquire the outstanding shares (assuming they get 90%), and then remove the shares from quotation on the ASX.
There may well be good arbitrage opportunities between now and the close of the Offer.
there seemed to be an arbitrage op today with the PES Options, because today is the last day of trading for the Options.
