Smart move denominating debt in USD - given the rate of USD depreciation / likely gold upside going forward. Proceeds used to repay existing unsecured facilities and to assist with development of new mines etc - much more sensible than issuing new equity.
By the time Wafi goes into production in 2016 gold could easily be trading in a $5k to $10k an ounce environment.
