I'm based in NZ and get SKY so I catch the NZ, Aussie, and World news services. There was an article tonight featuring Scott Ritter leading a media party to suspected weapons installations and terrorist training camps in Iraq.
The NZ news featured a longer story with Scott making comments to the effect that "if it was worth going to war, he'd be in there as a soldier; but not on the basis of 'fabricated' evidence".
This key part was cut from the Aussie news story I saw, where only a small snippet of Scott was shown, and where the introduction to the story was as "one lonely voice". Moreover, the brief footage was immediately preceded by Downer taking a "hard" line.
If this is how the Aussie media are playing the story, then I'd say its pretty much a sure thing you guys are getting softened up for a war.
(Of course I could be wrong, it may be just the Channel 3 news service we get on SKY)
