Yes they do need to meet requirements and they are taking those steps. Considering there has been mining done down 3 kms in much more complex mining operations in the world ... I am pretty sure going down to 145 metres is not a huge challenge, particularly in a site that has been previously mined successfully. Anyone know the deepest mine? .. I shall have to Google.
