Yeah I never understood the point about 'not harvesting.' What has that got to do with it? Its about growth rates equalling carbon sequestered and if growth rates are significantly reduced, that changes the economics of the project, surely.

Did our friendly consultant say that these types of risks are borne by the client? Can insurance play a role? Are increased disease control precautions warranted?

Still more questions than answers on the rust IMO but I'd consider this risk acceptable given the potential upside. Thanks for all the info yellowcake, its always good to know your enemy.
