Hmmm - yes I understand that 'take it or leave it' idea - however if you have a look at the model Bristow uses for junior partners in 95% of cases there's always around 15% in it for the junior, which makes me think that anyone who did 'negotiate' with RG on behalf of BGS must've been two shillings short of a quid - they must have had a lead-in by way of dialogue - they've known eachother for so long now, which makes the 4% even more of an odd figure imho.

Secondly if you don't own all the real estate around the prospects - your potential junior partner does - why would you offer them a 5hitty 4% when you've already given them access to all your geo?

I also wouldn't speculate given the proven elephants at Morila and Syama that there isn't another multi million oz bonanza somewhere under our ground - in fact I'd suggest it's highly unlikely there ISN'T.
