Yeah, I feel for you Sachz, my bad, sorry mate - freeholders can be a bit blase and cavalier at times.
I just don't know what MLL can do at the moment. I wish I had some answers. I feel so helpless. Lithium is down. The world has COVID-19. Economies are crashing. Unemployment is huge. There is misery everywhere. Businesses are folding. And then MLL go and lose their MD who is the only one who could project a mine build. It's dire. And the stock went from 85 cents to 3 cents. I mean, I don't know what else to say, except for what is actually happening. Where is the hope, for any of us ?
We need a vaccine. Then we need businesses to start up again. Then we need employment. Then we need a way for world governments to pay down their phenomenal debts, the worst global government debts in history. Then we can all get back to normal. But will this happen ? And how long will it take ? I honestly can't see this mine ever being built, or being bought by anyone, for five years or more, and even then it will depend on whether the world economies can recover that quickly. If everyone is unemployed, or if unemployment across the globe is somewhere between 15% and 25%, then who will have the money to buy electric vehicle in large numbers, almost no-one. There will be limited demand for a long while. People aren't caring about electric vehicles, or even climate change, they are just trying to work out a way to survive.
And which companies always suffer the most in any global recession, or depression - always the little guys, the small caps at the bottom end of the chain, the ones with no cash and few employees. I'm now thinking that the best these guys can do now, is lay everybody off, work out how much each year it will cost to keep the tenements in good order with the Mali government, raise just enough money to cover those costs for 5 years, and then effectively shut everything down, and see what happens in the world.
The only game in town for many governments, is gold, which is why over the past year, the Russians and Chinese have been stockpiling and not telling anyone how much they actually have, because it would surprise the pants off the USA and the UK and Western governments.
MLL made a strategic error to just sit back and ignore the gold and just accept royalties. On their other gold projects over the past 2 years they should have been digging away as mad as hell. But I got sick of saying this over and over, year after year, and just being put down, so I shut up. Even the directors stopped replying to my email advice. People just won't listen to experience and wisdom and plain old common sense, which is why humanity makes the same mistakes over and over .... and over again.
This project is now on care and maintenance, nothing is going to happen for years, and it's NOT their fault.
It's the fault of the virus (and whoever caused it), and excessive population growth (with the pollution and disease and pestilence that always accompanies it), and extreme high density living (which festers disease), and government financial mismanagement (due to greed and politics).
Nature has been telling us for years, overpopulate at your peril. If we want to keep adding over 1 billion people to the planet every 10 years, then we need to find another planet to populate, and fast, and a way of getting our excessive population there.
In the last week, scientists have just discovered in Bats, another four (4) new Corona Viruses that we never knew existed before. Fortunately, they haven't migrated to humans yet. It's a time bomb.
Humanity is just now reaping what it sows.
Now, I'm not a religious person (except for a bit of Buddhist meditation now and then), but it brought back to mind a band I used to like in the late 1980s, and lyrics from their song "Armageddon Days".
