Many opinions have been expressed in recent weeks about both the SP & MC, of BGS.
Those that are miffed about the current depressed SP could keep in mind that the MC is the more important # to keep your eyes on, for the reason that where it is possible to make a comparison
between the value of the present resource development potential of
a) BGS, say for argument’s sake, is $200m, with
- b) a similar resource potential value of another ASX-listed li miner/explorer, say $180m
and both companies have 400m shares on issue, then the SP, based on these 2 MC’s would be
- a) $0.50 ($200m MC div. by 400m shares)
- b) $0.45 ($180m MC div. by 400m shares)
But, if
a) – BGS - had 800m shares on issue then in this scenario its SP would be 25c =$200m MC, and
- b) had 360m shares on issue, then ditto, its SP would still be 50c = $180m MC.
i.e. some posters – not hotshot at maths - could thus MISinterpret that BGS – in this scenario - to only be worth half of what company b) is. Guata.
